Comparison of Water Sterilization Methods

Hiking

To sterilize water by boiling, it's best filtered through a cloth first if there is any matter in the water, then boiled for 5-minutes, especially in mountainous areas as boiling temperature can be affected by altitude. While boiling is still a reliable method it is often inconvenient and may still leave matter in the water – the cyst may be dead but do you really want to drink it?

Water treatment liquids are often carbon, iodine or other chemical based. They eliminate bacteria and viruses but are not effective against all parasitic cysts such as Cryptosporidium, they taste the water and many should only be used short term. Iodine water treatments should not be used by young children, pregnant women and those with thyroid disorders.

Water purification tablets, like the liquids, are highly effective against viruses and chemical contamination, with some of the more recent tablets saying they are effective against Cryptosporidium as well as Giardia Liambia. However, they are a cocktail of chemicals, should only be used short term and cause the water to taste awful.

Water filters come in many shapes and sizes. The AquaSafeCorp products provide personal, portable, water filtration, for all situation. Truly giving safe water ON-THE-GO.

Why Are AquaSafeCorp Products an Ideal Solution?

Water filters using carbon and iodine advise short term use, are not always effective against parasitic cysts and may advise contra-indications for use similar to iodine based water treatments. Both tablets and chemical  systems leave an unpleasant after-taste and often odor.

AquaSafeCorp products leave no unpleasant after-taste, and filter waterborne bacteria and e-coli, Giardi and Cryptosporidium cysts and spores from your drinking water by using a membrane filtration technology – absolutely no chemicals with a unique safety cut off. This ensures you a clear indication that the membran is full and time to replace the product.

Cryptosporidium and Giardia are a major cause of diarrhea and gastro intestinal tract infection and can be found in water sources worldwide. By packing one of the AquaSafeCorp products in your hiking gear  you can relax and enjoy safe, filtered water. When you're traveling, hiking and camping you can't always guarantee you'll find a trusted source of clean drinking water. Relax. Now you have AquaSafeCorp water filter on board.
