Introduction

SeaPack (Sea Pack) has range portable water forward osmosis devices www.Sea-Pack.com available for consumers.  The products use a filtration and sports syrup to purify water.  The units are designed for hiking, camping, sailing and emergency situations

AquaSafeCorp has the AquaSafeStraw specifically designed for travelling, hiking and disaster situations.  The only product that is safe for all to use, irrespective of health conditions.

Filtration Methods

The SeaPack (Sea-Pack) uses a membrane filter combined with a Sports Syrup to remove all viruses, bacteria and other substances to 3-5 Angstroms (0.3 -0.5 billionths of a meter, 0.0003 microns).
The AquaSafeStraw uses a polyethylene membrane that filters down to 0.2 micron, exceeding the US CDC recommendation of 1 micron to effectively remove Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

Product Safety

Sea-Pack products are very safe to use removing bacteria, Giardia and Cryptosporidium and virus’s and metals out of water.

The AquaSafeStraw uses a membrane technology that filter out all (99.9999%) bacteria, Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Water WILL NOT pass through the AquaSafeStraw when no longer effective.

Both products exceed the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Centre of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Reliability and state of mind

Both the Sea Pack and AquaSafeStraw have past extensive testing to verify their specification when the product is in prime condition.
For the Sea Pack devices, the Sports Syrup needs to be at hand, each time you require water.

Water Flow

The Sea-Pack range of products requires significant time to allow access to the water. The water available rate is:

Life Pack                      0.142   litres/hour
SeaPack                      0.1        litres/hour
Expedition                   1.0         litres/hour
X-Pack                         0.25      litres/hour
Hydrowell2                  1.7        litres/hour
AquaSafeStraw          60.0        litres/hour

Compared to AquaSafeStraw of up to  1 litre per minute.  The SeaPack products  will require 10 minutes to fill a 300ml glass of water

The AquaSafeStraw does not add any additional calories in the water

Bacteria and Virus removal properties

SeaPack product removes both bacteria and virus.  The SeaPack Bottle removes everything larger than 0.0003 micron.  Virus molecular size ranges from 0.02 to 2 microns.    The AquaSafeStraw filters out all Bacteria as well as Cryptosporidium and Giardia above to 0.2 microns exceeding the America’s Centre of Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov) recommendation of filters to a minimum of 1 micron.  The AquaSafeStraw exceed this by a factor of 5.

AquaSafeCorp is about to release two new products, AquaSafeBottle and  AquaSafeStraw+, that filters down to 0.01 micron below the size of viruses.

How can AquaSafeStraw be so cost effective and be an effective water filtration system?

AquaSafeCorp have taken state of the art materials and technologies, along with advanced manufacturing techniques (patented) to produce a cost effective advanced product.

The ideal Travel Accessory – AquaSafeBottle

Thursday, October 08, 2009

ON a recent travel tour to the US, an elderly couple travelled from the west coast to ending in New York on the West Coast.  It lasted for 4 ½ weeks.  They had an exceptional time.  What made it that much better, they didn’t get sick once unlike many of the older pensioners on the trip.  Most had some form of gastro for several days.  They put it down to use the Aqua Safe Bottle+.  The AquaSafeBottle takes out not only bacteria to 99.9999% it also takes out protozoa’s to 99.9999% and viruses to 99.99%. Read More...
